Introduction
Wärtsilä’s mission, vision and strategy, along with its sustainable development objectives, create the framework for developing the company’s activities and products. They are supplemented by Wärtsilä’s management system, a tool for continuous improvement of the company’s operations and products. Wärtsilä harmonises its operations worldwide through its global environment, quality and occupational health and safety policy and the company’s operating principles (Code of Conduct). The Corporate Manual includes, in addition to the above, a description of the company’s operating procedures, responsibilities and the management system structure.
